Well, it was bound to happen. We have our first blooper from A FOUNDING MOTHER, pointed out by a gentle reader friend. On page 268 of the early editions, Abigail mentions building the new Washington City “from scratch.” Unfortunately, this expression doesn’t appear until the 20th Century. Oops. Hopefully we can fix it in future printings.
