About the Author

Stephanie Dray is a writer from Baltimore, Maryland.  She has a B.A. in Government and Writing from Smith College and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.

Stephanie has worked as a freelance editor. She has also contributed regularly to The Owings Mills Times. She has published numerous book reviews and her work has appeared in publications as diverse as e-zines and The American Bar Association Journal.

Six years ago, Stephanie and her husband created FiranMUX, an online text-based game set in the world of her as yet unpublished novel, Elik’s Shadow. Today, hundreds of players log in daily to play against the backdrop of this story.  It has become the most successful original-themed game of its kind.

Stephanie spent this summer at an intensive writing workshop known as Clarion East and is currently working on her second novel: an historical fantasy entitled Cleopatra’s Daughter.
