Note from the Author

Historical fiction often exists in a murky area between literary tradition and scholarship. While precise footnotes would be my preference, I acknowledge that they would distract from the narrative flow of a fictional novel. Nonetheless, a historical fiction writer’s work is seldom hers alone. My sources were ancient and contemporary, the most important of which are given credit in the acknowledgments of my novels. However, I intend to keep a comprehensive list here of all the other writers to whom credit is due.
